Kay Sievers 49e942b2bc rename basic.la to shared.la and put selinux deps in shared-selinx.la
Only 34 of 74 tools need libselinux linked, and libselinux is a pain
with its unconditional library constructor.

Lennart Poettering fc1a2e06a2 conf: when looking for configurations look in /etc first, in /run second
After long consideration we came to the conclusion that user
configuration in /etc should always override the (generally computer
generated) configuration in /run. User configuration should always be
what matters over anything else. Hence rearrange the search orders
accordingly.

In general this should change very little as overriding like this is
seldomn done so far, and the order between /etc and /usr stays the same.

Kay Sievers 2b583ce657 use /run instead of /dev/.run
Instead of the /dev/.run trick we have currently implemented, we decided
to move the early-boot runtime dir to /run.

An existing /var/run directory is bind-mounted to /run. If /var/run is
already a symlink, no action is taken.

An existing /var/lock directory is bind-mounted to /run/lock.
If /var/lock is already a symlink, no action is taken.

To implement the directory vs. symlink logic, we have a:
  ConditionPathIsDirectory=
now, which is used in the mount units.

Skipped mount unit in case of symlink:
  $ systemctl status var-run.mount
  var-run.mount - Runtime Directory
    Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/var-run.mount)
    Active: inactive (dead)
            start condition failed at Fri, 25 Mar 2011 04:51:41 +0100; 6min ago
     Where: /var/run
      What: /run
    CGroup: name=systemd:/system/var-run.mount

The systemd rpm needs to make sure to add something like:
  %pre
  mkdir -p -m0755 /run >/dev/null 2>&1 || :
or it needs to be added to filesystem.rpm.

Udev -git already uses /run if that exists, and is writable at bootup.
Otherwise it falls back to the current /dev/.udev.

Dracut and plymouth need to be adopted to switch from /dev/.run to run
too.

Cheers,
Kay

Fabiano Fidencio 07459bb6b9 sysv: optionally disable of SysV init/rcN.d support at compile time
This patch adds a cpp definition HAVE_SYSV_COMPAT that is used to
isolate code dealing with /etc/init.d and /etc/rcN.d for systems where
it does not make sense (one that does not use sysv or one that is fully
systemd native).

The patch tries to be as little intrusive as possible, however in
order to minimize the number of #ifdef'ed regions I've reordered some
code in path-lookup.c:lookup_paths_init() where all code dealing with
sysv is now isolated under running_as == MANAGER_SYSTEM as well.

Moreover, In struct Service, some fields were rearranged to reduce
the number of ifdefs.

Lennart's suggestions were fixed and squashed with the original patch,
that was sent by Gustavo Sverzut Barbieri (barbieri@profusion.mobi).
