ld.so: Do not export free/calloc/malloc/realloc functions [BZ #25486] Exporting functions and relying on symbol interposition from libc.so makes the choice of implementation dependent on DT_NEEDED order, which is not what some compiler drivers expect. This commit replaces one magic mechanism (symbol interposition) with another one (preprocessor-/compiler-based redirection). This makes the hand-over from the minimal malloc to the full malloc more explicit. Removing the ABI symbols is backwards-compatible because libc.so is always in scope, and the dynamic loader will find the malloc-related symbols there since commit f0b2132b35248c1f4a80f62a2c38cddcc802aa8c ("ld.so: Support moving versioned symbols between sonames [BZ #24741]"). Installed header hygiene (BZ#20366): Test of installed headers. This adds a test to ensure that the problems fixed in the last several patches do not recur. Each directory checks the headers that it installs for two properties: first, each header must be compilable in isolation, as both C and C++, under a representative combination of language and library conformance levels; second, there is a blacklist of identifiers that may not appear in any installed header, currently consisting of the legacy BSD typedefs. (There is an exemption for the headers that define those typedefs, and for the RPC headers. It may be necessary to make this more sophisticated if we add more stuff to the blacklist in the future.) In order for this test to work correctly, every wrapper header that actually defines something must guard those definitions with #ifndef _ISOMAC. This is the existing mechanism used by the conform/ tests to tell wrapper headers not to define anything that the public header wouldn't, and not to use anything from libc-symbols.h. conform/ only cares for headers that we need to check for standards conformance, whereas this test applies to *every* header. malloc: Basic support for memory tagging in the malloc() family This patch adds the basic support for memory tagging. Various flavours are supported, particularly being able to turn on tagged memory at run-time: this allows the same code to be used on systems where memory tagging support is not present without neededing a separate build of glibc. Also, depending on whether the kernel supports it, the code will use mmap for the default arena if morecore does not, or cannot support tagged memory (on AArch64 it is not available).
